Handmade Handwoven Reed Baskets |
|
Bodacious Basketry, located in Northeastern Wisconsin, is owned by two women (sisters), Sandy and Shari. We began weaving our first baskets, dying reed, learning from books and patterns, and lots of self-study. After baskets kept popping up all over our homes, family and friends said "These are beautiful.....you should go into business!!". Bodacious Basketry was born. We now create our own beautiful fabric liners, fabric covered bases and lids, handle covers, leather handles and hand-painted embellishments to add personal touches to each basket. |

Our customers sharing with us how they use our baskets and that they love them as much as we do makes us want to get up every day and weave. Our customers spark our creativity to design new baskets, weaving with new fibers, exciting color combinations, unique styles, wood lids and bases, leather handles and embellishments. Being able to take the raw materials and create heirloom baskets which will bring you years of joy and use, gives us great pleasure.
We have woven baskets for a magician, an earl and Neil Diamond! We have also been contacted by the Oprah Show and Saturday Night Live and have had our dove release baskets used in a movie. Owners of pet shops, restaurants, galleries, gift shops and gift basket companies buy our baskets. Cabinet makers, customers organizing their homes/offices, fishermen, hunters and people looking for the perfect gift come to us for baskets. |
